The imperial Hofburg Innsbruck, which is one of the most traditional buildings in Austria radiates old times glory in all its rooms, from the beautiful gothic cellar to the vaulted roof. Following the refurbishment of the staterooms also big hall, guard room, Lothringer rooms and the sacred rooms region of the womens church were freshly renovated as in the 18th century. Valuable frescoes, exceptionally beautiful marble and wood floors, elegant chandeliers and many other signs of wealth and imperial power adorn the staterooms of the imperial Hofburg Innsbruck. The tyrolean folk art museum is one of the most beautiful buildings of its kind in Europe since its opening in 1929. For its 80th anniversary the museum was renovated, remodeled, and all the collections are now presented in a completely new, contemporary frame.
