Alpine Innsbruck by train or athletic
From the Congress house, you reach the mountain station Seegrube by the Innsbruck Nordkettenbahnen in just 20 minutes. There you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view on the city of Innsbruck, the Inn valley and the surrounding mountains. The Seegrube is the starting point for walkers, climbers and mountain bikers. For leisurely people there are benches with panoramic view or the terrace of the alpinelounge Seegrube with comfortable deck chairs to relax and refresh yourself. The Innsbruck fixed roper route is at the heart of the hiking and climbing opportunities of Innsbrucks Nordkette / Karwendel. From the mountain station Hafelekar at 2,269 m there are over seven peaks to the Frau Hitt Sattel (Frau Hitt saddle). The view over the Inn valley and the Karwendel mountains is breathtaking.
The Nordkette singletrail is technically demanding and very challenging for mountain bike free riders. In July 2009, the legendary trail celebrated his comeback and since then there is only one goal for the founder and route designer Christian Picco Piccolruaz and his team: the Nordekette singletrail should be again the hottest hotspot of european free ride scene. The mix of urban flair and mountain bike adventure makes the sport to a unique experience and lifestyle. In addition to the Nordkette singeltrail there are of course also many interesting routes for the less ambitious mountain bikers.
The base station of the Nordkettenbahnen cable railway in Innsbruck is accessible by car in about 50 min. from the Alpine Caravan Park Achensee.
